HDR-VFX in the Red Giant NAB 2009 Reel

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

If you’re at NAB, stop by the Red Giant Software booth [SL2529H], because I’m in their 2009 NAB Reel!

You can can see a short clip of my work as colorist on the HD feature “Steam”.  Or, if you’re not in Las Vegas, you can also see the reel in the Red Giant Software Video Gallery.

NAB 2009

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

It’s far too early on Sunday morning, but I’m up and headed off to Day 2 of the Director of Photography workshop at NAB in Las Vegas.  Yesterday was crammed with information on digital acquisition with the SI-2K, RED, and ARRI D-21 cameras. Unfortunately, I forgot (having not been here since 2007) that sitting in the LVCC often means long hours on crappy plastic chairs and freezing if you accidentally sit under the A/C vent.  As long as I get my grande Chai, I’ll be fine.

Off to the Left Coast

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

One half of the HDR-VFX crew will be heading out to California for a few weeks.  Production wise, we have a couple more Lexus dealers to shoot and we’re working on an in-house project that we’ll be filming when I get back in late April.  More details to come when we have an actual production schedule knocked out.

Also, I’ll be in Las Vegas from the 17th to the 22nd for NAB and the FCP Supermeet on the 21st. Even though some of the big companies aren’t showing this year, I think it will be a good year to shop for gear, especially since the capital equipment tax break has been extended for 2009.  –Lisa
